Alan spends a 'normal' week travelling all over the UK, he has travelled the world in his last 12 years at CCP supporting individuals who have experienced severe trauma. Alan has worked on many high profile cases including the disappearance of Madeleine McCann. Previously Alan worked as a social worker in child protection for 14 years and became a partner at CCP in 2005.
In his spare time, you can usually find Alan rocking out at a gig or at his annual ‘unmissable' visit to Glastonbury with his wife Jayne and his two children. He also enjoys cycling, snowboarding, supporting/shouting at Everton or playing squash for the City of Manchester.
Anna joined CCP in 2003 after completion of her Masters degree in HR and Knowledge Management. Following in her founding Father's footsteps she quickly became a Partner in 2004 and is responsible for the management of the business. The majority of her working week is spent at our head office and she enjoys travelling to meet new and existing clients throughout the UK.
Anna appreciates her spare time with husband Lee, daughters Georgia & Emma, and Ray the dog in the great outdoors. Together they enjoy socialising and being host to their friends and family, including her twin sister, Katie. Since October 2015 Anna has helped to fundraise over £10,000 for refugees in Europe, and has personally volunteered in refugee camps in France.
Kevin joined CCP in 1998 and became a partner in 2003 and, is one of the most experienced trauma aftercare clinicians in the UK. Previously a social worker, he provided psychological support to other social workers, psychologists and counsellors recruited by Liverpool Council following the Hillsborough Disaster in 1989. Kevin has worked on many high profile cases around the world during his time at CCP, including the Tunisian terrorist shootings in 2015; the fatal plane crash in Nepal in 2012 in which he supported staff & relatives; and he also supported the survivors, their families and BSES staff following the fatal polar bear attack in 2011 in Norway.
In his free time, Kevin's biggest passion is playing the guitar and singing lead vocals in his band. He is a proud owner and enthusiast of the MG sports car, husband to Jo, proud father of two children and custodian of his beloved English Setter dog.
Sharon joined the team in 2012 as a travelling consultant. Over the years she has travelled far and wide, Sharon was among the first to arrive at Hotel Imperial Marhaba, Tunisia following the devastating terrorist attack on the beach in 2015. Formerly working as a social worker for over 16 years, Sharon also retrained as a Therapeutic Counsellor. Her approach is holistic and diverse and she is passionate about enabling her clients to reflect on how they think, feel and behave in order to address those aspects which can get in the way of overcoming challenges or even from achieving our potential.
Nicky rejoined CCP in January 2017, having previously been with us from 2001 to 2003. During that time she travelled to many foreign incidents - in Mexico, Egypt and across Europe. She has been a social worker for 25 years, most recently managing a Community Mental Health Team in Swindon.
In her spare time, Nicky is a frequent visitor to the theatre and loves singing in her local choir. She and her husband enjoy travelling, looking after their lovely garden, and walking in beautiful places as often as time allows.
Joanne joined CCP in 2015 and has a special area of knowledge and experience working with individuals affected by sexual violence and abuse and uses a range of approaches & strategies with clients including Solution Focused Therapy, CBT, EMDR, Rewind Therapy and Humanistic Theory. Joanne has designed and delivered training packages for a wide range of organisations including the Police and the British Council in West Africa, her work here supported the establishment of Nigeria’s first sexual assault referral centre.
Joanne supports our clients in the UK and overseas and during her time at CCP has travelled to Singapore, Tunisia, Mexico & India providing support after traumatic incidents.
Joanne has three children, enjoys running, is an avid Manchester City fan and has a real passion for good food and wine.
Heidi joined the team at CCP in January 2018 as our part time Accounts Administrator. Heidi is a Qualified ACA and loves finance, having worked in the industry for 30 years. In her spare time, she is kept busy with her young grandchildren, church family and trusteeships of various charities.
Stewart joined our Out of Hours team 4 years ago. He provides valuable telephone support and advice for those using our 24-hour helpline for trauma and wellbeing issues. He joined the national charity, Cruse Bereavement Care, ten years ago undergoing their training and qualifiying as a bereavement counsellor in 2006, his role has now developed with his responsibilities also including their management, PR and training.
Our young at heart Stewart enjoys the outdoors, keeping fit particularly hill walking in the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales.
Sally joined CCP in October 2018 and is based at Head Office on the stunning Broughton Hall Estate. Sally is the first point of contact for all enquiries to CCP and is responsible for managing the travelling consultants' diaries & logistical needs. Sally liaises with our clients to schedule training workshops and supports the team with admin duties.
In her spare time Sally loves spending time with her young family, walking in the Yorkshire Dales and travelling. Sally enjoys reading, trips to the theatre and attending live music concerts & festivals.
Recently retired, and with a wealth of experience Annette remains on our Out of Hours team after 6 years. Following over 40 years working as a psychiatric nurse, Annette completed her Diploma in Counselling and Human Relationships in the late nineties and has practiced privately in her spare time since.
Despite being retired Annette is still ever busy looking after her family including four grandchildren and Blossom, her beloved boxer. In her precious spare time Annette enjoys swimming, sketching and holidaying in France.
Liz has over twenty years' experience one to one counselling and family mediation. She has been instrumental in developing courses for those recovering from alcohol and substance abuse and developing an integrated model for working with addiction. Over a number of years Liz transitioned from the voluntary sector over to private practise and has worked on our Out of Hours team for nine years.
Liz enjoys spending time with her family, travelling overseas to experience new cultures and enjoys walking in and around her home town of Harrogate.
Kim is the newest member of our Out of Hours Team. She brings with her a wealth of experience in counselling and mental health. She has worked in the voluntary sector and provided supervision and training for a local mental health organisation. For the last seven years, Kim has supported clients in her own private therapy practice.
In her spare time, Kim takes good care of her Siamese cats, enjoys nia dance, yoga and pilates. She enjoys travel adventures, particularly to visit family in the Southern hemisphere.
Viv has a wealth of experience working as a Counsellor with both individuals and couples. Working within the NHS, in private practice and for Cruse she specialises in therapeutic support for people who have been bereaved.
In her spare time Viv enjoys swimming, walking in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside, visiting the theatre and spending time with her much loved friends and family.
